IMOLA Project > Activities > Co-Management > FA-RMP

The development of resource management strategies, zoning plans, and regulations to manage activities in the lagoon is a critical step towards an effective co-management of the lagoon resources.

The IMOLA Project has been providing support in the process of developing FA resource management strategies (to define the overall directions, which orient management activities), zoning plans (to allocate activities in the lagoon), and regulations (to control activities in the allocated areas) through organization of discussion meetings and technical assistance (e.g., GPS mapping support for zoning).

The management strategies and regulations have been established and approved by relevant authorities for more than half of the IMOLA supported FAs while some are under discussion or waiting for the approval by the authorities. Zoning plans have been completed in two communes, namely Loc Binh and Quang Cong awaiting for the approval from the authorities.
